The Minister of Overseas, Sébastien Lecornu, is "on the way to the West Indies", announces the ministry this Sunday.
He will go first to Guadeloupe and then to Martinique, after "a notable return to calm" during the night from Saturday to Sunday, said his entourage.
"The minister is currently on his way to the West Indies (where) he will deepen on the spot the exchanges" of the last days, explained a source of the ministry, who did not wish to specify the time of arrival "for security reasons ".
On the night of Friday to Saturday, Lecornu had created a surprise by declaring that the government was "ready" to talk about the autonomy of Guadeloupe, a department affected by a violent crisis, also announcing the creation of "1000 jobs helped for youth ".
