The petition of Hapoel Haifa and Spencer Weiss was accepted in part: the court of the Basketball Association ruled that the team from Carmel will not have to pay a fine following the registration of the national guard.
As you may recall, the League Administration's Exceptions Committee decided to reject Weiss's request and not recognize him as a home throat.
The implication of this decision is that Hapoel Haifa should pay a fine if it wants to register it for the games.
In a petition filed through attorney Roi Rosen, representing the citizens, Hapoel Haifa and the player sought to change the committee's decision.
As stated, the court accepted the request in part and this means that the group will not have to pay a fine, but on the other hand Weiss's status will not change and he will not be recognized as a home-throat for the rest of the issues.
