A chemistry experiment caused a fire in the Vaterstetten grammar school on Sunday.
Apparently it has been sizzling since Friday.

- A chemistry experiment on Friday, crouching in front of itself, triggered the fire alarm system in a chemistry room of the Humboldt Gymnasium in Vaterstetten on Sunday.
As Fire Brigade Deputy Commander Thilo Hasenöhrl confirmed on request, the experiment disposed of in a garbage can had "developed temperature" over the weekend and finally ignited.
The police speak of previously unknown chemicals - the exact course of the fire development is now being checked in cooperation with the school's safety officer.
The Vaterstettener Wehr, with 20 men in action, was able to extinguish the fire quickly, nobody was injured.
