Homs-Sana

Five old and young plastic artists in Homs invested in the days of Syrian culture held under the title (Culture, Authenticity and Renewal) to participate in the Faisal Al-Ajmi Forum for Fine Art.

The creative plastic artist, Iyad Bilal, described the forum, in a statement to SANA Cultural, as an interactive situation between old and young artists, and it sends a cultural message that predicts the continuity of life and culture and an indication of revival and construction after the destroyed cities.

And about his work in the forum, Bilal explained that he participated in a painting that combines oil and sculpture in a relief manner, in which he sees a style that distinguishes the artist and gives him a special imprint. As for his topic in the work, it is a continuation of his sculptural research about human suffering and resurrection, emphasizing love and opening its windows in light of the situation in which he lives.

The young plastic artist Mazen Mansour participated in an oil painting measuring 90*100 in an expressive style close to the impressionist, expressing his happiness to participate in the forum, which he described as a beautiful opportunity to get to know new and veteran artists and benefit from their experiences.

The plastic artist Salam Ahmed found the forum important because it activates the cultural movement in Homs, pointing out that she participated in an oil work on canvas with an expressive theme that embodies the refined female.

The plastic artist Hossam Yaghi participates in a painting that embodies the topic of alienation and migration in an abstract manner with expressive glimpses, describing the forum as important because it brings together artists every period, so they influence and are affected by mutual experiences and their products become more valuable and richer in terms of artistic and cultural value.

Young artist Shatha Abdel Nour, a graduate of fine arts in Aleppo, considered that the forums enrich the artist and benefit him by getting to know the experiences of the artists and the schools they work on, noting that it is her first participation in the forums with a formation board that talks about the idea of inclusion in general.
