Gröbenzell - Things are moving forward in the center of the village: With the laying of the foundation stone on Wednesday, November 24th, the prominently located residential construction project at Home am Park - Neue Mitte Gröbenzell is "only going uphill from now on", as Matthias Ottmann, Managing Director of Urban Progress, on the occasion of the ongoing concreting of the floor slab.
The laying of the foundation stone for the residential and commercial building in the heart of Gröbenzell is considered a valuable impetus for the further development of the surrounding area.
After the construction pit was completed on schedule, Mayor Martin Schäfer laid the foundation stone together with Ottmann.
Both were satisfied with the speedy and smooth cooperation between the district and the municipality, thanks to which the construction project can now move into the next phase.
In his greeting, Schäfer emphasized his special connection with the project.
"It was a long way to get the development plan, that's why it is all the nicer to be here today at the laying of the foundation stone," explains the mayor of a process that he has been driving in the local council since 2008.
"The moment is the end of my request to even go into politics."

Because the building creates a connection between Bahnhofstrasse and Kirchstrasse across the dividing railway line.
As a result, the town center will be transformed into a new, green center after around 50 years.
With its 18 residential units, the new ensemble of buildings is to blend in harmoniously with the grown neighborhood.
In the immediate vicinity there are already shops such as a bakery and organic supermarket, a park with old trees and the Gröbenzell train station.
With green courtyards and commercial areas on the Bahnhofstrasse side, the residential ensemble should offer added value for the entire area.
With this unique mixture of closeness to nature and the city, the quarter can become a particularly successful example of the potential of contemporary local development.
