She has two hundred and seventy songs for her melody for children. She chose her texts from the books of Suleiman Al-Issa and other poets, seeking ease in words and light and graceful poetic seas. In the field of composition, Ilham Abu Al-Saud has written fifteen educational books for various school stages, benefiting from her experience in teaching in most schools in Damascus, and her reliance on the method of the Austrian artist Carl Orff, which is based on teaching children music through play.

Abu Al-Saud, who is considered the first Arab maestro, shed light on the experiences of well-known composers in Syria and the world, so she worked on presenting musical studies and research in seminars and lectures inside and outside Syria, where she was chosen to participate as an innovator in the Arab Women Creators Festival in the Tunisian capital. She also presented in Algeria in search of types of musical composition Al-Arabi indicated that she enjoys presenting these researches to people in an encouraging and enjoyable way, interspersed with clips of playing and live singing.

Abu Al-Saud believes that music has great capabilities to influence children, who we must listen to pieces appropriate for their ages, nourish them musically, raise a love of listening, and develop their taste in order to form their musical awareness to bring joy to their souls, their innermost parts, and their emotions. Music creates an atmosphere of fun and joy so that the students love the lesson and are not alienated from it.

In recognition of her distinguished role in spreading and supporting music and authentic art throughout the Arab world, she won thirteen Arab awards and represented her country in a number of conferences in Tunisia, Egypt, Kuwait, Algeria and Morocco, and was honored in a number of conferences and festivals, the most important of which is the 23rd Arab Music Festival in Cairo.

As for her last honor, it was part of the opening of the activities of the Syrian Culture Days 2021, a celebration, and what made her proud is that she received this honor from her country, which she had always wished to honor among his children who grew up on her tunes and songs.
