In La Clusaz, the water war does not end

La Clusaz (Haute-Savoie)

On the Beauregard plateau (Haute-Savoie), the snow settled in this late November morning, and the fog obscures the view of the surrounding peaks and Mont-Blanc. Located about ten kilometers from La Clusaz, one of the village resorts of the Aravis massif, the plateau is a popular place for hiking and Nordic skiing. But, in recent months, the Beauregard plateau, located at an altitude of 1,500 m, has lost some of its tranquility. The site was chosen to accommodate a 148,000 m hill reservoir, which, according to the town hall, will supply the town with drinking water and produce artificial snow. Estimated at 10 million euros, this water reservoir would be added to the four others already in operation, which have a total volume of 217,000 m.
