The opening ceremony was celebrated by the Federation, relevant government departments, regional organizations in the 18 districts, rehabilitation organizations, and organizations of persons with disabilities.
Boccia player Liu Huiyin has participated in the Paralympic for the fourth time. She started contact sports in 2005. At that time, she was exposed to boccia through hobby classes.
Liu Huiyin said that it was very difficult to transform into a full-time athlete at the beginning, whether it was the coach's requirements or the requirements of himself.
But she described herself as lucky, and her friends and family around her also shared and supported her.

As far as the HKCSS is concerned, the services of residential care homes for the disabled and residential care homes for the elderly are not sufficient.
It was expected that the stay of the elderly would be about 3 to 5 years, but in recent years there have been many cases of staying for more than 10 years.
Cai said it was time to study home care for the elderly, including supporting services and technology products.
