Kindergarten teachers: We will not cooperate with the Ministry of Education in antigen testing Israel today

The chair of the kindergarten department at the Teachers' Union sent a scathing letter to the director of the education department, due to her opposition to the requirement that students present a negative antigen test after the Hanukkah holiday.

The chairwoman of the Teachers 'Department at the Teachers' Union, Anat Dadon, sent a scathing letter this morning (Sunday) to the director of the Ministry of Education's Pre-Primary Education Division regarding the distribution of antigen testing kits, and the requirement that every student return from Hanukkah with a negative test.

In a letter, Dadon wrote that it is not possible for supervisors around the country to require kindergarten teachers to prepare for each student a scattered set of products that arrived at the kindergarten, to keep a record and other absurd tasks such as holding the test at a fixed temperature of no more than 30 degrees.

Dadon further wrote that they will not allow more tasks to be assigned to the gardeners, certainly not administrative tasks that apply to the local authority.

Gardeners were instructed not to perform these tasks.

As you may recall, Prime Minister Bennett demanded in the Corona Cabinet an antigen test of all students before returning from the Hanukkah holiday. Dr. Sharon Elrai Price, objected: "We have not discovered many patients like this in previous times. Not sure it is worth the resources."
