The PA claimed that this was a political plan to complete the Jewish operations in Hebron • The terrorist organization Hamas also condemned the visit and called it an "invasion"

The Palestinian Authority's Foreign Ministry today (Sunday) condemned President Yitzhak Herzog's intention to visit the Cave of the Patriarchs in the ancestral city of Hebron to light the first candle of Hanukkah.

The announcement states that this is a "dangerous precedent, confirming the degree of participation of Israeli officials in the operation of the Israelization and Judaization of the Ibrahim Mosque, after it was divided by the occupation. This is when the occupation authorities hoisted the Israeli flag ".

According to the PA, this is part of an "Israeli colonialist political program that takes advantage of the holidays to achieve more aspirations and settlement projects in the Occupied Palestinian Territories," along with "completion of Jewish operations in the heart of the city of Hebron."

An associate of Abu Mazen, the Minister of Civil Affairs of the Hussein a-Sheikh Authority, added: "The arrival of the President of the State of Israel in the city of Hebron is an initiative of the settlement and the settlers' campaigns."

He further claimed that this was a "blow to international law, and a political, moral and religious provocation".

Meanwhile, a-Sheikh updated that Abu Mazen would visit Qatar tomorrow.

The arrival of the President of #Israel to the city of #Hebron is a legalization of the settlements and settlers' campaigns, a violation of #international legitimacy, and a political, moral and religious provocation.

As you may recall, the terrorist organization Hamas also condemned the visit of the president yesterday and called it an "invasion."

A Hamas statement said that the organization "places the absolute responsibility on Israel for the president's decision to light the first candle of the Jewish Hanukkah holiday at the Ibrahim Mosque in Hebron."
