A senior official at the German Interior Ministry said on

“an agreement between the European Union and Great Britain”
on migration

“urgent
”
, following a European meeting at which he was participating in Calais, four days after the murderous sinking of migrants in the English Channel.
"Britain has an important role to play, we need a post-Dublin agreement between the European Union and Great Britain,
" said Stephan Mayer, parliamentary secretary of state at the Federal Home Office, during a press conference at the town hall of Calais, a port city in northern France.
