A 53-year-old man was shot dead today (Sunday) in the northern town of Yarka.

The MDA team that arrived at the shooting scene, at the entrance to the locksmith shop in the locality, determined his death on the spot. The police opened an investigation.



According to the Aman Center, this is the 117th murdered person in Arab society since the beginning of the year.

On Thursday, Rasha Sitawi, 32, was shot dead at her home in the Galilee town of Merar.

The woman, who owns a beauty salon and is the mother of three children, was shot while helping her 12-year-old daughter with homework.

MDA staff found her unconscious, and was forced to determine her death on the spot.



Sitawi lived in Marar at her deceased parents' house, after moving from Rama, where she lived with her husband before their divorce. She was also the cousin of Eyal Sitawi, a border police officer who was shot. To death on the Temple Mount about four years ago by terrorists, along with police officer Kamil Shenan.
