Through dancing panels full of life and joy, the National Academic Siberian Russian Folk Choir participated in the celebrations of the Culture Days under the title “Culture, Authenticity and Renewal”.
The concert, which was hosted by the Opera House Theater and entitled “Siberia, my homeland and Russia” included a group of dance paintings that reflected the strong spirit of the Siberian man, customs, traditions and the three basic principles of the troupe that is keen on it, represented by music, dance and singing.
The troupe, which is ranked third in Russia, was able to dazzle the audience through the various and varied dances that reflected the traditions of the Siberian people.
More than 85 male and female artists combined efforts to create a unique aesthetic case in which music, dance and costumes united to create an aesthetic vision that reflects the identity of Siberia.
The performance was preceded by a press conference by the director of the organization, Ekaterina Kovaleva, recipient of the Order of Culture of Russia, artistic director and People's Artist of Russia Login Ivanovich, choir coach Oksana Gorshkova, choreographer Vladimir Berlin and orchestra director Savin Alexander.
The director of the band spoke about the purpose of the visit, which is the second to Syria, to send a message of solidarity with the Syrian people, and about the importance of the choir in the traditions of Russian concerts.
The ceremony was also accompanied by an art exhibition that included various paintings and pictures of tourist areas in Siberia that embodied human life, civilized nature and urban landmarks.
The ceremony was attended by Minister of Culture Dr. Lubana Mushouh, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Dr. Bassam Ibrahim, Dr. Mahdi Dakhlallah and Dr. Mohsen Bilal, members of the central leadership of the Arab Socialist Baath Party and Secretary of the Damascus branch of the party Husam al-Samman, and from the Russian side, the Russian governor of Novosibirsk Andrey Travnikov, the Russian ambassador in Damascus Alexander Yefimov and the accompanying delegation And a number of ambassadors and members of foreign and Arab diplomatic missions in Damascus.
