Brazzaville, SANA- The World Health Organization has called on the countries of the world to keep their borders open among themselves at a time when they began

Brazzaville-Sana

The World Health Organization called on the countries of the world to keep their borders open among themselves at a time when many countries began imposing restrictions on travel to African countries with the outbreak of the new mutated from the Corona virus around the world.

And Agence France-Presse quoted the organization as saying in a statement that the organization “stands with African countries and makes an appeal to keep borders open,” calling on countries to adopt a scientific approach based on risk assessment.

The organization added: "It is vital to support countries that deal transparently with their data, because it is the only way to ensure that we receive important data in a timely manner."

For his part, South African President Cyril Ramaphosa called on countries that imposed travel restrictions on their citizens after detecting the new mutant Omicron to lift them immediately and urgently, considering that the measure lacks scientific justification.

It is noteworthy that several countries, especially European, banned flights from southern African countries, while the United States, Saudi Arabia and the UAE closed their borders to citizens of countries in the mentioned region.

Angola was the first African country to decide to ban flights to and from South Africa because of the new mutant Omicron, which the World Health Organization deemed worrisome.
