The Australian health authorities announced today that two cases of the new mutated strain of the Corona virus were detected in Sydney.
Agence France-Presse quoted the New South Wales Health Authority as saying that it had "carried out urgent genomic sequencing tests for two patients coming from South Africa, and it was found that they were infected with the new mutant."
And the World Health Organization classified Omicron, which was first detected in South Africa, as a worrying strain, and it is the fifth version of the Corona virus placed in this classification.
