After a wild boar was trapped in the railing on Tin Hau Temple Road, North Point three days ago, it was sent to the Kadoorie Farm and was destroyed by humanity. There was another wild boar infested last night.

At about 11 pm yesterday (27th), at 42 Tin Hau Temple Road, Causeway Bay, someone found a wild boar trapped in a barbed wire fence and called the police to deal with it.

Police officers and firefighters arrived at the scene, and some police officers armed with shields were on guard.

In the meantime, the wild boar suddenly struggled to escape through the barbed wire and fled to the Feilongtai parking lot. After that, the wild boar walked along Tin Hau Temple Road to outside the Aolongxuan Gate at No.18 Tin Hau Temple Road.

At 3 o'clock in the morning, the staff of the Fisheries and Conservation Department finally successfully fired three anesthesia guns at the wild boar and successfully captured them.

The Fisheries and Conservation Department stated that the wild boar suffered serious injuries to its feet and had been destroyed humanely.

Fracture of right hind leg with blood oozing from mouth

The wild boar broke free from a barbed wire fence earlier and walked outside the Aolongxuan gate at No. 18, Tin Hau Temple Road. During this period, a resident left the building and opened the gate. The wild boar suddenly rushed into the building from the gap in the gate and entered the building. Wandering in the lobby, several police officers held shields outside the door to guard and notified the AFCD staff to come to the scene to assist.

The police officer was worried that some residents would be injured by the wild boar when they took the elevator to the lobby of the building. They considered opening the door to let the wild boar leave the building. However, the wild boar escaped from the police along the back stairs, and the police officer held a shield outside the door to guard.

It was seen at the scene that the wild boar suffered a fracture and injury on his right hind leg, with blood marks on the ground and blood oozing from his mouth.

After that, the wild boar returned to the lobby, and the police officer opened the door of the building, trying to drive the wild boar out of the building.

Not long after, the wild boar suddenly rushed out of the building from the lobby of Aolongxuan and fled to the adjacent Piao Aoshan parking lot. After a round of disturbance, he fled from Piao Ao Mountain to the hotel opposite to the hotel on Tin Hau Temple Road and waited outside the hotel’s gate. Upon seeing this, the security guard immediately locked the gate with an iron chain to prevent wild boars from rushing into the hotel, and a delivery man who had delivered to the hotel was trapped inside the building.

At about 1:45, the AFCD staff arrived at the scene. The staff tried to catch the wild boar with a catching net. The wild boar detected the staff's actions and immediately fled back to the parking lot of Bo Ao Mountain. The staff immediately followed and set up the iron cage to catch the wild boar.

Wild boars wandered around Tin Hau Temple Road. Police officers were holding shields to search for the whereabouts of the wild boars.

Toss food to lure away from the grass

Police officers erected their shields and confronted the wild boars with AFCD officers for more than an hour. The wild boars were surrounded in a digging alley in the parking lot. The officers set up rope nets and fences to prevent the wild boars from attempting to break through and escape. The wild boar took a rest in a bush.

Afterwards, AFCD staff threw food at the wild boar many times in an attempt to lure the wild boar out of the grass. The wild boar could not withstand the lure of the food and eventually walked out of the grass.

The AFCD staff immediately picked up the anesthesia gun and fired 3 shots of anesthetic at the wild boar.

A few minutes later, the wild boar collapsed to the ground and fainted.

The personnel then stepped forward to catch the wild boar, put the wild boar in a canvas bag, and moved it to the truck to take it away.

A resident learned in the parking lot that the resident Mr. Liu said that after the wild boar was hiding in the grass, AFCD staff used food to lure the wild boar several times, and finally successfully fainted the wild boar with an anesthesia gun.

He felt sad and shocked by the incident. He believed that the wild boar should be released instead of being shot.

He once asked the officers whether the wild boar could be released and whether the wild boar would be destroyed humanely, but the officer did not reply.

The staff of the Fisheries and Conservation Department finally succeeded in fainting the wild boar with an anesthesia gun, and then took the wild boar away.
