The Ministry of Transportation stated this evening (Sunday) that in efforts to curb the eruption of the Omicron variant, public transportation departing from Ben Gurion Airport will be stopped, except for taxis.

In addition, a special and separate transportation system will be established for field workers.

The regulations will take effect tonight at midnight.

The ministry said that "as part of the new regulations, only passengers will be allowed to get off the trains and buses arriving at Ben Gurion Airport, landing at Ben Gurion Airport will not be able to board the train and buses.
