“Under the smocks”: The LMU veterinary students' diary is entering its third round.

The budding doctors use it to collect money for a good cause.

What do a cow, a camel and a white-faced owl have in common? The answer is that all three, as well as many other animals, model together with the

veterinary students of the final year 2022 of the LMU Munich

for the new edition of the "

Veti calendar"

. With the title

“Unter den Kittel”

, the nude calendar, which has meanwhile almost become a cult, is entering its

third round.

During the final exams, which were already beginning, a team of six female students organized all photo shoots, models, locations, printing and sales within a few weeks.

26 male and female models - all veterinarians of the upcoming senior year, of course - posed together with 16 well-behaved or sometimes cheeky animals. The series of photos opened the alpacas and calves on the teaching and experimental farm of the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich. Followed by birds of prey from the Orff falconry, as well as snakes, turtles, bearded dragons and spiders in the Reptilienauffangstation München eV In order to present camels, ponies and rideable cows to the buyers of the calendar, the students also took other routes to Rosenheim, Peißenberg and to the Bavarian camels in Valley.

Last but not least, a few raccoons sneaked into the photos at the Munich animal shelter. The background of the whole project is not only for the creative financing of the upcoming prom in the coming year, as in previous years, part of the proceeds will be used as a donation for an animal good cause. This year two animal welfare organizations from the Ahr valley, which was badly affected by the flood disaster, are happy. The Anna Gnadenhof offers abandoned animals and those that cannot be conveyed a new, species-appropriate home and a well-deserved retirement age. In addition to dogs and cats, pigs, goats, chickens and many more find a loving home on the farm. The yard was largely destroyed by the flood disaster and not all animals could be saved from the masses of water. Now the helpers are faced with the enormous task of rebuilding the farm in order to offer themselves and all animals a place of refuge again.

The Katzenschutzfreunde Rhein-Ahr-Eifel are a non-profit association that takes in around 250-350 cats every year, takes care of them until they are mediated, in order to then find a beautiful new home for them.

After the devastating storm in the Ahr valley, the helpers of the association turned to another task and now also take found animals that have no longer found their way back to their owners because of the flood disaster, helpless and disoriented, and actively search for the animals themselves then reunite with their family.

Even now there is still no end in sight and the volunteers continue to push their limits to help the cats.

The veterinary students and the two animal welfare organizations look forward to every purchase of a calendar.

Much more information and impressions of the veterinarians' new project can be found on the social media channels on Facebook and Instagram.

Thanks to the numerous models, the calendar can be purchased in two different versions here.

The edition is 800 pieces - so only while stocks last!

A lot is being done for a good cause in the districts of Freising and Munich North.

Jennifer Heckenstaller has put up her dream Christmas tree again.

There is also a similar project in Moosburg: Ferdinand Winterstötter, together with Sparkasse Moosburg, is setting up the Christmas tree for 2021.
