The Ministry of Tourism has granted 28 qualification forms for tourist facilities in the Damascus countryside since the beginning of this year until the end of last October.
The Director of Damascus Countryside Tourism, Wael Kayal, said in a statement to SANA’s delegate that the granting of these forms comes in response to the needs of the market and the increased demand, explaining that they were distributed among 20 catering facilities and 7 accommodation facilities, all of which are of two-star level, in addition to a tourism and hotel training center.
Kayal pointed out that the capacity of these facilities is 2,098 chairs and 1,268 beds, and provides many job opportunities for graduates and specialists in the tourism sector.
