South Korea recorded 32 deaths and 3,309 new infections with the emerging coronavirus, Covid 19, during the past 24 hours.
And the South Korean Yonhap Agency quoted the Korean Agency for Disease Control and Prevention as saying today that "the total number of injuries rose to 444,200, while the number of deaths reached 3,580."
And the new mutated Omicron strain of the Corona virus emerging around the world has put South Korea on high alert, prompting the authorities to impose a ban on entry of foreign arrivals from eight African countries to limit the spread of the new strain: South Africa, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Namibia, Lesotho, Swaziland, Mozambique and Malawi.
