Erding

- All citizens are called upon to donate a voucher from a shop of their choice - such as groceries, clothing, hairdresser, toys or drugstore supplies - or from the catering sector with a value of around 30 euros. As announced by the District Office, the vouchers can be handed in at the information desk of the authorities at Alois-Schießl-Platz until Monday, December 13th. A donation receipt can be issued if the receipt is submitted and a corresponding form is filled out. For each voucher given, the donors receive a poinsettia that can be attached to the Christmas tree in the foyer.

This year, too, the tree was handed over to District Administrator Martin Bayerstorfer by the Facebook group “Landwirtschaft im Landkreis Erding”.

It was donated by the regional Christmas tree producers, the Feuerer family from Hönning (municipality of Lengdorf).

According to the district office, the representatives of the group already took part in the fundraising campaign themselves.

After they have been completed, the vouchers are precisely forwarded to the recipients via the job center in order to give them a little support for Christmas and the New Year.

"No voucher will be lost, and the anonymity of the recipient is guaranteed in any case," promises the district office.

For Bayerstorfer, the wish tree campaign is a project close to his heart: “Christmas often means a financial burden for many families.

I am pleased that, despite the ongoing corona pandemic, we can give families in need a little Christmas cheer with this campaign. ”At the same time, the local retailers and restaurants are supported.

"Feel invited, alone or together with family, friends and colleagues, to choose a voucher and to provide support to families in need from our district," the district administrator advertises to participate in the campaign.
