Haar

- The first full business year of the Maria Stadler House (MSH) in Haar is over.

The house is fully occupied and services such as “living with service”, the in-house outpatient service and the short-term care places are well received.

The only downer is the lack of qualified nurses.

What the managing director Maria Lehr presented to the local councils in Haar was impressive: a 2020 annual surplus of 206,000 euros, equity of 936,000 euros and financial resources of 1.5 million euros. A good year after moving in June 2019, the house was fully occupied with 142 residents in October 2020, the corona-related admission freeze came in December, so that “we could not accept someone again until the end of January of this year,” says Lehr. The offer of three fixed short-term care places is particularly in demand, as is living with service. The very good result of the medical service of the health insurance companies in May also proves that the quality in the MSH is right. “However, it is important to me that the residents feel comfortable, that they enjoy being with us,” emphasized Lehr.

She attaches just as much importance to the fact that her team and employees enjoy working at the MSH.

Corona bonuses that have been paid out are important, but unfortunately measures that increase the feeling of belonging, for example, could not have taken place at all due to the pandemic.

And the "we" feeling also goes from the temporary workers.

"They work well and reliably, but their own employees would be better." But to find them despite intensive advertising on all channels is as good as impossible.

It is the challenge for the future.

"At least the four new trainees give me a positive opinion about generating new talent from within our own ranks," said managing director Lehr.
