Al-Hasakah Health Directorate received this evening a quantity of insulin in its various forms used in the treatment of diabetes patients, provided by the World Health Organization.
In a statement to SANA reporter, Dr. Issa Khalaf, the director of Al-Hasakah health department, said that the directorate had received 18,000 insulin flacons in its various forms, “mixed, slow and fast,” and it will be allocated to the diabetes clinic in the Health Directorate and the Western Center of the health district in Qamishli. Diabetics who are treated with insulin.
Khalaf added that the governorate's health directorate had provided the health district in Qamishli last week with about 4,500 vulcans of insulin in all its forms.
The number of diabetes patients registered with the Health Directorate in Al-Hasakah is 4,000, of whom 2,500 are treated with insulin.
