The Ministry of Transportation forbade returnees from abroad to use public transportation at the airport - and also harmed workers • Ministry of Transportation: "Shuttles will be provided to workers"

As of last night, all those landing at Ben Gurion Airport are required to enter isolation. In parallel with this directive, the Ministry of Transportation, headed by Transport Minister Merav Michaeli, has decided that returning passengers will not be able to use public transportation departing from Ben Gurion Airport.

Following the decision, which was made immediately and left many workers unanswered, Israel Today received complaints from them: "We have no way to get home. We do not have a car, there are several shuttles a day that we have to wait a long time, from there stand in traffic jams on the way to Ramla or station Central Tel Aviv and from there find our way home. Why not just allow workers to get on the train and get to the houses? Just do not allow returnees from abroad to get on the same train. "

From an inspection we conducted, starting today, we are expected to strengthen the transportation system and issue a shuttle every hour between 06:00 and 20:00.

The problem is that Ben Gurion Airport works 24 hours a day, and those who work in the evening will be left unanswered, and will have no way to return home.

The Office of the Minister of Transportation stated:

"The Airports Authority provides a solution for workers, which will allow travel at any hour in a dedicated shuttle. Ben Gurion Airport's management is currently working to improve and improve the service for workers, and it will provide the best solution."
