Five years after the mysterious disappearance of two multi-handicapped girls in Nérac (Lot-et-Garonne), the justice system ordered Wednesday, November 24, the referral of the file to the investigation and the release of their mother, suspected of having killed the teenagers, announced his lawyer to AFP.

After four and a half years of investigation, Naïma Bel Allam, 53, was sent back to court to answer for “aggravated intentional homicides” on Nawal and Ines, her two heavily disabled daughters then aged 12 and 13.
But his defenders, stressing the absence of confession and corpses, had contested this referral to the investigative chamber of the Court of Appeal of Agen.
"Still alive"
The latter therefore decided to return the case to the investigation, so that the investigation can be resumed, and ordered the release of the mother, imprisoned since September 2017. The latter will be placed under judicial supervision, told AFP Me Sophie Grolleau. "

During her hearings and interrogations, in versions which varied, the mother assured that her daughters were "
still alive
", entrusted in the care of relatives, but without revealing the location.
A position that she reiterated in front of the investigating chamber on October 20.

She does not want to say it because she is too afraid that her daughters will be placed, it is her greatest phobia
", explains the lawyer.

The two sisters, who have severe motor and mental disabilities, have not given any sign of life since December 2016, the date of their departure from the specialized establishment on the day where they were taken care of.
Their disappearance was reported at the end of April 2017 to the public prosecutor in Agen by the services of the department.
First prosecuted for "neglect of minors" in September 2017, their mother Naïma Bel Allam had seen her indictment transformed into "aggravated intentional homicide" in January 2018, after the discovery of a "

Of Moroccan origin, the mother, a former accountant abandoned by her husband, was raising her two daughters born with deformities on her own.

When she asked for help, care and support to be able to breathe, she found herself faced with refusals,

She loves her daughters but has lost all confidence in the system of specialized institutions.
His decision was therefore to put his daughters out of danger, outside of France,

Despite extensive investigations as far as Morocco, the investigators were never able to identify the place where the two sisters could possibly be.
