The storm blocked the exit doors of the premises, forcing attendees to spend several days sleeping on the floor, singing karaoke and having enough beer to celebrate.

A storm, which accumulated up to three feet of snow, trapped 61 people on Friday in a pub on a Yorkshire hill, 200 miles northwest of London, in England.

The accumulation of snow at the exit doors of the Tan Hill Inn made the visitors, who went to see a tribute band of the English group Oasis,

had to stay for three nights

inside the place, because the weather conditions were not safe for them to drive. , The New York Times reports.

The gang members and the local employees, who numbered around 10 more people, also had to stay.

Some of the visitors, according to the newspaper, already had rooms reserved at the inn.

Others had to sleep on the floor

or on sofas in the living room.

Employees supplied them with mattresses, pillows, blankets, and kept the fireplaces burning.

Nicola Townsend, pub manager, explained that this Monday morning there were only two people left there: "They are young girls who do not feel confident driving on the road with the current conditions, so they will stay tonight and go home tomorrow. "

Over the weekend,

a pair of parents was rescued from the pub and moved home to take care of their children

.

Similarly, a local group of mountain rescuers helped evacuate a man who needed medical treatment.

Townsend was telling on Facebook how the guests spent the hours: they practiced trivia games, ate barbecue, sang karoke and danced to songs of the invited band.

They had beer to spare, but none of them "got drunk or noisy," according to Townsed, because "they wanted to be respectful."

The manager added that the farewell, on Monday, was very emotional.

"We will

always remember this group of

incredible

people

who came together and hopefully under difficult circumstances enjoyed what we all thought was a life-changing experience," he wrote in a post on Facebook.

Due to the storm in the UK, so far, three people have died, in separate episodes.
