It is a futuristic and sprawling city, which never ceases to gain on sand, sea and sky, halfway between
Blade Runner
and
Lawrence of Arabia
. A city where almost everything seems doomed to exaggeration, from buildings to air conditioning. It is therefore all the more surprising to discover a Dubai Watch Week as a rare treasure of intimacy and simplicity. Organized by the Seddiqi family (among the most important watch retailers on the planet) every two years, the event does not stir up VIP squares or zealous security agents: everyone has free access to the stands of the 45 brands present, including young people independent to the most famous, as well as to their directors or founders.
