Today, Iraqi National Security Adviser Qassem Al-Araji revealed new details about the attempted assassination of Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi.
Al-Araji said in a press conference broadcast by Alsumaria satellite channel, “It was proven to the investigation committee that was formed for this purpose that the attack on the Prime Minister’s house was carried out by two drones by throwing two projectiles, one of which fell on the roof of Al-Kazemi’s house and the second in his courtyard,” pointing out that one of the projectiles exploded and the other did not. on the coordinates of the plane that targeted the house.
Al-Araji added that two teams of anti-explosives and forensic evidence were sent to the crime scene and the criminal fencers were taken, and a second projectile was found that did not explode on the roof of the house on the second day, considering that the attack confirms the direct targeting of the prime minister’s life.
Al-Araji pointed out that two anti-explosives and criminal evidence detachments detonated the projectile without collecting fingerprints.
On the seventh of this month, Al-Kazemi survived an assassination attempt with a booby-trapped drone that targeted his residence in the Green Zone in Baghdad.
