Bad Wiessee

- The old and dilapidated wooden pergola on the Wiesse lake promenade has long been a thorn in the side of the local council.

Now the building will soon be a thing of the past: On Monday (November 29th) the employees of the municipal building yard began demolishing the wooden structure.

Modern construction is intended to replace the old pergola on the lakefront

As is well known, a new pergola should decorate the lakeshore as early as the beginning of the next summer season.

In July, the - quite extravagant - plans were presented to the building committee and approved.

According to this, a modern construction made of wood and steel, open on all sides, is to be created at the same place.

The structure consists of three parts, each of which is to have a traditional gable roof.

District Office Miesbach has approved the plans for the new pergola

The Miesbach district office has meanwhile also approved the planning in this form, says building authority manager Anton Bammer on request.

How long it will take before the new pergola is in place, he could not estimate yesterday.

"We now have to proceed step by step, the work must first be put out to tender," said Bammer.

When construction work can start in spring also depends on the weather conditions.
