As usual, the audience expected the ARD “Tagesschau” on Saturday evening at 8 p.m. on the dot.
Problems with the graphics caused a number of glitches, however.
Hamburg - There can be unforeseen breakdowns on live television from time to time.
The serious 8 pm broadcast of the ARD “Tagesschau” is not immune to this either.
Recently, for example, the moderator was suddenly missing there because there was supposedly an "oversight in the planning", according to the broadcaster in a subsequent statement.
Another time, Tagesschau spokesman Jens Riewa was let down by the technology.
The technology was probably also to blame for the incident on Saturday evening (November 27th) at 8 p.m.
This resulted in not just one, but a number of mishaps during the broadcast.
The audience must have been surprised.
Tagesschau (ARD): Mega mishap in the studio - spokeswoman Judith Rakers struggles with graphics problems
At 8 p.m. sharp, many Germans meet in front of the TV screens at the ARD “Tagesschau”. Normally a gong will sound - the sign that it is now starting. A few seconds beforehand, the camera changes from the still image to the ARD studio in Hamburg and pans to the moderator behind the desk. "Here is the 'First German Television' with the Tagesschau", with this sentence from the off, the audience is usually greeted during the tracking shot. On Saturday evening, however, nothing happened at 8 p.m. sharp.
Instead, the faded-in clock simply continued to run at 8 p.m.
After a delay of around 40 seconds, the news broadcast suddenly started without tracking and thus confused the TV audience.
In social networks such as yodel, a viewer was already irritated after 27 seconds.
Today's announcer Judith Rakers was then faded in after about 45 seconds directly behind the desk and started the broadcast.
But this breakdown shouldn't be an isolated incident this evening.
According to the media
magazine dwdl.de
, graphic problems are said to have led to further disruptions.
Tagesschau (ARD): Spokeswoman Judith Rakers reads Bundesliga results without graphics
When presenter Judith Rakers came to the Bundesliga match results, the graphics that were otherwise displayed were missing.
Rakers therefore read out both the table situation and the results without any additional display.
But this shouldn't have been too much of a problem for the professional presenter.
