Damascus, SANA- A number of Syrian and Arab experts presented today during their participation in the 25th National Symposium on Quality in Blood

Today, during their participation in the 25th National Symposium on Quality in Damascus, a number of Syrian and Arab experts presented a summary of their expertise and experiences in the best and most modern practices, standards and trends globally in the field of quality.

The symposium, which was held today on the occasion of the National Quality Day at Al-Sham Hotel, also focused on the mechanisms of spreading the culture of quality and the localization of its sciences and methods in Syria, and the necessity of exchanging experiences in this field locally, Arably and internationally.

The Deputy Minister of Industry, Bashar Zagloula, pointed out in his speech to the necessity of introducing and developing the concepts of total quality in the national economy to develop and improve local products and thus increase the demand for them, pointing out that Syria started the process of institutional building for the components of the quality infrastructure through the creation of the Syrian Center for Accreditation Services and Directorates of Measurement and Quality In addition, work is underway to create the quality regulatory body, which will form the national umbrella for quality systems.

The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Syrian Scientific Society, Basma Ibrahim, pointed out that the Society is working to spread the culture of quality, qualify and train cadres on international standards and updates, and seeks to consolidate its qualitative presence in various administrative, scientific and technical bodies, councils and committees.

From Egypt, Dr. Hoda Fathy, CEO of the Arab Quality Conference, referred to the efforts made to establish an Arab quality system in parallel with shedding light on the most important leading and successful institutions in this field.

In his turn, Rami Zaarour, representative of ISOCERT, pointed out in his speech that the concepts of quality have been expanded to include qualification and training of cadres and individuals, pointing out that the reconstruction phase strongly requires the development of quality infrastructure.

In a statement to reporters after the symposium, Minister of Industry Ziad Sabbagh explained that the symposium comes in light of the ministry's efforts to implement international quality standards in all industrial, economic, health, educational and other fields.

The Assistant Minister of Health, Dr. Razan Salouta, stated in a statement to SANA that quality in the health sector focuses on modern applications of medical quality in hospitals, social responsibility, reliability and reliability of laboratories, and quality in medical education, noting that the Ministry of Health is the first to obligate pharmaceutical laboratories to obtain the ISO quality certificate since 20 years.

Director of the General Organization for Chemical Industries, Dr. Osama Abu Fakhr, pointed out the importance of applying quality in the export industry and Syria's quest to reach optimal standards in all its products.

With regard to the application of quality in the engineering sector, the engineer, Marie Claire Al-Tali, Assistant Minister of Public Works and Housing, referred to the experience of the Public Housing Corporation in the application of quality.
