The fact that the Parsberg singers have a large repertoire is known from many appearances in the region and beyond.

Now their second album has been released on CD - with songs from the Liab, the Alm and the Jagern.

Miesbach

- You had done it before: In 2018 the Parsberg singers Konrad Tradler, Felix Brand and Bernt Horeth recorded their first CD, with religious songs they went “through the church year”. The Parsberg singers had shrunk from four-song to three-song: Volker Herden died in 2015 and left a void both personally and vocally. “The bass, the sonor, was simply missing,” recalls Tradler.

The gap has now been closed: with Johannes Schlichting, the men's quartet is again in full voices.

The fact that the native Miesbacher does not speak Bavarian at all in everyday life because he grew up as a diplomatic child in Bonn is not tragic.

“He'll manage that,” says Tradler and laughs.

“He's a real asset.” Especially since Schlichting, as a music teacher, has special technical expertise.

"We sing as original as we can"

It doesn't matter that he's not a Parsberger anyway, because apart from Bernt Horeth most of them now live in Miesbach or Irschenberg. The quartet got its place name from the fact that it originally emerged in 1982 from the gentlemen of the Parsberg church choir. Tradler (67) was one of the youngest at the time; after almost four decades, in which some stopped, some died and new singers joined, he is now the last remaining member of the founding formation. The Parsberg singers have always been a flexible troupe.

With traditional song care, they take it very seriously.

“We want to keep old words and continue the tradition,” says Tradler.

Tradimix is therefore not part of the Parsbergers' repertoire, they leave that to others.

You see yourself in the tradition of the Kiem Pauli or the Riederinger singer.

“We sing as original as we can.

We want to be witnesses to belief and customs. "

This time they recorded secular folk songs

Because the repertoire of the Parsberg singers does not only consist of church songs and the folk music archive of the district encouraged them to do so, the four of them recorded a second album this summer together with their loyal guitar accompanist Hermann Kehrer and their friends from Karlinger Hausmusik in the old school building in Frauenried, which has now been released on CD. “This time with secular songs,” explains Tradler, “with funny things, Liab songs and hunter songs. Favorite pieces that fit through the year. "

The CD presentation in the Trachtenhütte was already imminent when it fell victim to the fourth corona wave.

Instead, the Parsberg singers are planning a Hoagascht with groups of friends as soon as it works again - the hope lies in spring.

The Parsberg Advent, which the Männerviergesang co-founded, has also been canceled this year.

But on the anniversary of the deceased on December 2nd and at angel offices in the run-up to Christmas, the Parsberg singers can be heard.

And on your CD.

The new CD "When's Rotkröpfei screams"

The CD “Wann's Rotkröpfei schreit” by the Parsberg singer is available for 15 euros in Miesbach at Trachten Jäger, Müller, Moser and Eichermüller as well as in the shop Der Musikant, at the book at the market, from tobacco products Griesbeck, bloom time flowers and gifts as well in the tourist information in Waitzinger Keller.

The Parsberger singers themselves can order from Bernt Horeth and Konrad Tradler, for example on 01 72/5 96 43 17 and 0 80 25/84 77.
