The Palestinian Prisoners and Ex-Prisoners Affairs Commission warned of the deterioration of the health status of the two prisoners, Muhammad Daoud and Salam Zaghal, as a result of the arbitrary practices of the Israeli occupation against them, foremost of which is deliberate medical negligence.
In a statement today, reported by Wafa Agency, the commission stated that the prisoner Daoud, who has been detained since 1987, suffers from a difficult health condition due to psoriasis and severe stomach and intestines pain, while the prisoner, Zaghal, who has been detained since 2013, suffers from complications from being shot by the occupation in the stomach and left leg upon his arrest, indicating that the occupation authorities refrain from from providing the necessary treatment to them that poses a threat to their lives.
5,000 Palestinian prisoners are facing harsh detention conditions, including about 600 prisoners who need urgent medical intervention.
