Volunteers of the Syrian Arab Red Crescent branch in Al-Hasakah began distributing relief aid to families coming from Ras Al-Ain and the villages of the northern countryside who were abandoned by the Turkish occupation and its terrorist organizations and residing in temporary residence centers in the city of Al-Hasakah, with the support of the International Committee of the Red Cross and the World Food Program.
In a statement to SANA reporter, Ali Mansour, head of the SARC branch, said that the distribution operations come within the framework of the organization’s endeavor to alleviate the suffering of families arriving from the city of Ras al-Ain and the northern countryside residing in temporary residence centers in the city of Hasaka, especially with the advent of winter, where the aid included blankets. Mattresses, food and health baskets, and solar powered chargers.
In the same context, Mansour indicated that the volunteers of the organization’s branch installed doors and windows for about 150 houses in the city of Hasaka, with the support of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, within the framework of the “shelter bags” project.
The head of the organization’s branch in Al-Hasakah indicated that the first phase of the “shelter bags” project, which was implemented at the beginning of this year, targeted 100 houses in the Khashman neighborhood, east of the city of Al-Hasakah, stressing that other houses will be reached during the coming period.
