Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov announced that preparations are underway for a summit between Russian President Vladimir Putin and US President Joe Biden, and the talk is about an ineffective contact.
The TASS news agency quoted Ryabkov as telling reporters today that the preparations for the summit meeting have entered an advanced stage, and I believe that the issue will become clear in the near term.
Ryabkov added that the talk at this stage is about an inactive contact, but this does not diminish the importance of the event at all. On the contrary, it seems to me that the contact between the two presidents will be a very important event given the total conditions and problems that currently exist in bilateral relations and on the international arena.
Ryabkov explained, but it is not entirely clear at the moment when exactly and in what format this communication will take place.
