The People's Assembly on the anniversary of the robbery of the Iskenderun Brigade: The truth will return to its owners

Damascus, SANA- The People’s Assembly affirmed that Liwa al-Saleb Iskenderun is an inseparable part of the Syrian soil, and that the Syrians will do their best

The People’s Assembly affirmed that the liberated Iskenderun Brigade is an integral part of the Syrian soil, and that the Syrians will make every effort to return the stolen right to its owners and insist on recovering all the usurped lands and achieving a victorious victory with the efforts of the men of the Syrian Arab Army for the reconstruction and building of Syria.

In a statement on the occasion of the eighty-second anniversary of the disarmament of Alexandretta, the council affirmed that the tripartite agreement between the French, British and Turkish occupations in 1939 to disarm the brigade is a shameful agreement and a flagrant violation of France’s obligations as a state and a clear and explicit violation of the treaty it signed with the Syrian government in 1936, which literally stipulates that Syria will take upon itself All obligations that were at the time of the Mandate, including the areas of administrative independence.

The Council indicated that the suspicious Turkish role of the descendants of the Ottomans (the Erdogan brotherhood regime) and its mercenaries and terrorists continues after all those years through the repeated terrorist attacks on Syrian lands, the occupation of some of its parts, the dismantling of its factories, facilities and factories, its theft and smuggling into the Turkish interior.

The council pointed out that the Turkish regime continued the crime of cutting off water for more than a million citizens in the city of Hasaka and its surroundings, and followed the policy of killing and sabotage, intimidating the safe people in their areas, and looting their property and livelihood, in flagrant violation of the most basic rules and principles of human rights and international and humanitarian laws.

It is noteworthy that Slakh the brigade was not recognized by the League of Nations at the time, nor its successor by the United Nations later, which means that the brigade from the international point of view will remain Syrian territory.
