Numerous traditional costumes from the Loisachtaler Gauverband recently met at the “Bavarian Lion” in Bichl for the autumn district assembly.

- It was the first meeting of delegates and district committee after a two-year break, the association reports in a press release.
Michael Doll, Chairman of the Bichler Trachtenverein Edelweiß, and Mayor Benedikt Pössenbacher welcomed the guests in their community, above all Gauvorstand Sepp Ponholzer.
Unfortunately, numerous events had to be canceled since March 2020, reported Gau secretary Andreas Wachs in his annual report.
The Loisachgauer Trachtler would be all the more looking forward to the Gaufest 2022 in Hohenschäftlarn.
Board member Franz Fischer presented the detailed program in Bichl.
The Gauheimatabend will take place on May 27th, 2022, the Gaufest Sunday is on May 29th, 2022. “The Gaufest next year will probably be different from what we were used to up to now,” said Fischer.
“There will definitely be more requirements and specifications regarding the corona pandemic.” But “as always” there will be a church service, pageant, honorary dances and a day of “mainly traditional costume community”.
Youth forum planned in Holzhausen
The day before the festival weekend in Hohenschäftlarn, the “Bavarian Lion” award plattform will also be held there on May 26th.
A small folk costume and craftsman dulce should round off the festive season.
Tanja Leitner, the acting Gaudirndl representative, has already invited to the Gaupreisplattln in spring 2022 and recruited new judges from the district associations.
The traditional costume enthusiasts can also note other dates: On May 21, 2022 the big youth forum will take place in the traditional costume culture center in Holzhausen.
On this day there are many workshops and lectures about youth and club work.
And presumably on May 22, 2022, the Gauvolksmusikwartin Maria Bader is organizing a musicians' day for children and young people in the Benediktbeuern monastery.
Still wanted to host the Gaufest 2023
At the meeting in Bichl, Gauvorstand Sepp Ponholzer also reported on the state conference in Regensburg and on the new elections within the Bavarian Costume Association.
In addition, Ponholzer informed about the museum expansion in Holzhausen and about the new member administration program.
It is regrettable that there is still no organizing club for the Gaufest 2023.
The fact that someone can find one another is “my greatest Christmas present,” said Ponholzer.
It is now important to “look to the future with confidence and hope”.
Special honor for Hans Hagn
A special honor was given to Hans Hagn by the traditional costume association “D'Wendlstoana” in Thanning at the autumn district assembly.
He was made a member of the district honorary authority.
Hagn was on the Thanninger Trachtler committee for 30 years, including 17 years as the first member of the board.
From 1998 he worked for ten years as an auditor in the district committee.
In 2008, Hagn was elected deputy district board member and held this office for eleven years.
Ponholzer described Hagn as a "loyal companion" who always stood by him with advice and action.
Before the meeting, Hagn thanked him, touched.
