A network of trafficking in cocaine and cannabis resin "
Uber-coke type

Destabilized by our presence - currently around fifty police officers every day - the traffickers have turned to traffic at the door,
" police commander Bernard Dalverny said at a press conference.
Cavaillon, and in particular the city of Doctor-Ayme, have been under close police surveillance for several months, after several settling of scores and shootings.
The police were notably reinforced by CRS.
"It really concerns everyone"
At the end of a two-month investigation, the narcotics unit of the Cavaillon police, made up of three investigators, and public road personnel, arrested seven people on Wednesday, in various places near Cavaillon, three of whom were imprisoned, according to Bernard Dalverny. According to the first elements of the investigation, the delivery men operated by means of rental cars, which they changed every “
two to three days
”. They "made an
appointment with clients in a quarter of an hour, in a somewhat deserted place, then changed the place again by telephone, a few minutes before
".
The customers, 65 of whom have already been heard by the police, contacted the delivery men on "
several telephone numbers that they passed by word of mouth
": to better deceive the police, the traffickers took "
a woman's voice
" on the phone, added Bernard Dalverny.

The drug sold was "
mainly cocaine
", according to the police, in quantities varying from half a gram to ten grams, "
at 60 euros per gram
". Police estimate that on a single phone number, 2,800 customer contacts were made each month, and up to 320 customers contacted, generating more than 126,000 euros in revenue. The arrest in flagrante delicto in Plan d'Orgon (Bouches-du-Rhône), a town bordering Cavaillon, led to the seizure of a "
small quantity of cocaine
" (50 grams), 18 kilos of cannabis resin , 35,000 euros in cash, and a jet-ski worth 25,000 euros bought a week earlier in cash.
The people arrested, aged 25 to 30, were all known to the police.
Among the customers, lamented the commissioner, "
few were remorseful
": "
it really concerns everyone, from the employee of a retirement home to the head of a company
".
At the end of September, a young man was shot dead in broad daylight in this city of Doctor-Ayme in Cavaillon, a few months after a motorist had succumbed to gunfire in April in the same area.
Interior Minister Gérald Darmanin visited Cavaillon in August.
