It is in a haggard lost at the bottom of a commercial area of Sélestat that we find Paul Jung and Olivier Kaelbel.
It was here that the two 24-year-old friends set up the headquarters of the Vintage Football Area site, a football jersey resale company.
In the midst of 20,000 rooms spread over racks, the two Alsatians stored three offices.
An installation that looks more like a student roommate than a start-up and yet their business is flourishing.
"We have 3 employees and we have tripled our turnover since the start of the year" assures Paul Jung.
A young man who spends his days hunting for football shirts sold by individuals on dedicated sites.
“When we spot an interesting piece we contact them and we agree on a price.
Once received, the jersey integrates our stock and we try to resell it 2 to 3 times the initial price ”, explains the co-founder of“ Vintage Football Area ”.
1000 euros for a Luka Modric jersey
A platform that claims the number one position in France for the resale of jerseys.
“We have gained our legitimacy by also relying on tunics worn by professionals.
We guarantee the authenticity of the jerseys of active or retired players ”promises Olivier Kaelbel.
Among the most popular jerseys sold by Vintage Football Area: the one worn by Luka Modric at Real Madrid in 2015 and sold for 1000 euros.
