Miesbach - The dispute over the Thalham-Reisach-Gotzing water protection area continues.
The petition from Miesbach, Valley and Warngau now support all municipalities in the district.
Miesbach's mayor Gerhard Braunmiller recently handed over a petition to Ilse Aigner, President of the State Parliament and constituency member.
Now she is also getting more mail from the Miesbach district.
The letter was signed by the 14 other mayors in the district, showing their support for those who submitted the petition.
With the petition, the municipalities of Miesbach, Valley and Warngau as well as three affected organic farms and the association “Our Water” want to have guaranteed legal proceedings in the Thalham-Reisach-Gotzing water protection area.
They fear that the government of Upper Bavaria will issue a ban on grazing and fertilization if the district office lets the deadline pass on December 1st.
"This would anticipate central bans of the controversial Water Protection Area Ordinance for the Mangfall Valley without the legally stipulated establishment procedure being carried out," the 14 mayors now say in the letter.
“A fait accompli would be created,” they fear, and with the letter they send a clear signal to the state parliament and its president, constituency representative Aigner.
This makes it clear: All municipalities - three are directly involved in the petition, the remaining 14 position themselves in the letter - in the Miesbach district have the clear stance: "The implementation of legal procedures by the factually and locally responsible authorities - here the Miesbach district office - must be guaranteed ", as it says in the letter.
