Two accidents occurred in Bichl at almost the same time on Monday.

The cause each time was an inappropriate speed as well as wrong or bad tires.

Bichl

- The accidents in the early Monday afternoon led to some traffic obstructions in the area of the

Bichl

bypass road at the junction to Penzberg.

According to the police, the first accident occurred at 1:45 p.m.

A Bichlerin (28) drove her Hyundai from Penzberg towards Bichl.

There were two six- and seven-year-old children in the car.

The woman still had summer tires on her vehicle and was driving too fast, police report.

The car slipped on the snow-covered lane and hit the oncoming vehicle head-on, which was controlled by a 33-year-old from Bad Heilbrunn.

Children stay well, women get hurt

The children were not injured in the impact, but the two drivers were injured.

The Heilbrunn woman was brought to the hospital in Bad Tölz by the BRK rescue service, reports the Kochler police.

The 28-year-old sought medical treatment herself.

Both cars were no longer ready to drive after the collision and had to be towed away.

In a first estimate, the police assume a total property damage in the amount of around 18,000 euros.

The Bichl fire brigade was also in action.

Second accident on the B472

While this accident was still being recorded, another occurred just a few meters away in front of the officers' eyes: A car driver (42) from Penzberg wanted to drive from there on the threading lane to the B 472 in the direction of Sindelsdorf.

She was traveling too fast too, slipped and knocked over the big yellow signpost.

"Thank God there was no other vehicle on the federal highway at that time," said an officer from the Kochler police.

Police appeal to drivers to fit winter tires

When the officers examined the Ford more closely, they found that the woman from Penzberg was driving with very poor winter tires.

The woman was not injured in the accident.

However, her vehicle was no longer ready to drive and had to be towed away.

The property damage to the older car is given by the Kochler police at around 1500 euros.

The Kochel police appeals to all drivers to adapt their vehicle to the winter road conditions.
