Twelve Hong Kong residents were arrested in mainland waters during a smuggling trip last year. Among them, Li Zixian, after serving his sentence in the mainland, still faces riots and other crimes after returning to Hong Kong. His case was brought before the District Court today (30th).
The defense revealed that Li intends to plead guilty to rioting and assaulting the police, and the case will be formally defended on March 21 next year.
The defendant Li Zixian (31 years old, surveyor) was charged with participating in the riot and assaulting Constable E in Queensway on September 29 of the previous year.
