Dozens of Palestinians, during a solidarity stand in Tulkarm in the West Bank today, called on the international community and human rights and human rights institutions to take urgent action to save the lives of Palestinian prisoners in Israeli occupation prisons, especially the sick and the elderly.
According to Wafa Agency, during the weekly sit-in in front of the Red Cross office in Tulkarm, the participants affirmed their continued solidarity with the prisoners in light of the violations and brutal practices they are being subjected to in the occupation detention centers, amid deliberate medical neglect against them.
The participants demanded pressure on all parties and levels to release the senior prisoners, especially the sick sheikh of prisoners Fouad Al-Shobaki, who has been detained since 2006 and suffers from a serious health condition and the spread of diseases throughout his body as a result of his detention for many years.
About 5,000 Palestinian prisoners inside Israeli jails face harsh detention conditions, including about 600 prisoners who need urgent medical intervention.
