Young man Ahmed Al-Jaour succeeded in establishing his own project for oyster mushroom cultivation with the aim of finding a source of material income for him and his family in light of the difficult living conditions that require the search for new sources that meet a wide range of small projects.

Al-Jaour, in his statement to SANA Youth, stated that he launched his project, benefiting from his studies at the Faculty of Agriculture at Al-Baath University, reviewing the stages of oyster mushroom cultivation, which lasts about two months.

The incubation process, according to Al-Ja’our, includes placing the hay with the seeds in special bags and hanging them on rods in a dark room until the dissemination of the mycelium for a period ranging between 15 and 25 days, then exposing it to lighting for 8 hours, humidity and ventilation for about 4 hours a day after the end of the incubation, so that the spores begin to spread later and the bags become white Then comes the fruiting stage, where the fungus begins to appear.

He explained that he had planted 6 liters of seed, expecting to produce about 50 to 60 kg of oyster mushrooms, pointing to the most prominent difficulties of the project, which lie in marketing, but he was able, through Facebook, to promote his product, which was very popular, calling on young people to start experimenting with its production.
