Chelles: the Transdev bus depot blocked following the call for a strike by the drivers' unions

No bus of the Apolo 7 network ran on Tuesday morning, after the blocking of the Chelle depot of the STBC by supported striking drivers

"We love our job, it is not our policy to go on strike, we only ask to work but our director must stop summoning the drivers".

These are the reasons put forward this Tuesday Boujemaa Zreouil, CFTC delegate to the Chell Basin Transport Company (STBC), to explain the blocking of the Chellois bus depot of the Transdev subsidiary, following a call for a strike by an inter-union CFTC, Unsa and CGT.

A social movement that paralyzed traffic on Tuesday on all lines of the Apolo 7 network until early afternoon.

If the depot was completely blocked with the help of twenty bus drivers from other networks as well as the first members of a yellow vest union, only the representatives of the three unions went on strike among the employees of the STBC.

“Colleagues no longer dare to come and talk to us in the face of pressure and intimidation from our director, who behaves like a real dictator.

Two drivers were dismissed for spurious pretexts such as the alleged assault of an employee who was not on strike or for not having reimbursed the fund for his bus over time.

Two other colleagues were summoned on Tuesday for dismissal.

Their common point is to have been strikers, ”denounces Boujemaa Zreouil.

A driver gassed and beaten on Friday by a user

Almost two months after the strike of October 6, which failed to block the Chelle depot, the demands of the strikers, again supported by regional councilor Julie Garnier (LFI), still relate to the degraded working conditions according to them, in particular since the redesign of travel times.

“Drivers sometimes work until 8:30 a.m. per day with daily hourly amplitudes of up to 1:45 p.m. It is not possible to keep the journey times on which the drivers accumulate delays. All these problems generate a very poor quality of service from our customers who sometimes attack our drivers, ”points out the union representative, who reports that one of the two drivers summoned this Tuesday was assaulted last Friday by a user on board his bus. Hit on the head and gassed, he was transported to the Grand Hospital de l'Est Ile-de-France (Ghef) in Jossigny and was prescribed a five-day work stoppage.

“More frequent incidents, for which the director of the STBC is partly responsible,” according to Boujemaa Zreouil.

“On the signs and on the STBC website, she indicated that the service was provided at 80% while the strike continued, but this is false.

Our director must stop hiding behind the strikers and blame them for the degradation of service when there were only three days of strike in October, it's scandalous!

"A hostage-taking of employees and customers", according to the director

"As long as there was still an employee on strike, which was the case, I was obliged to warn users of the possibility of disturbances," retorts Dalila Guettouche. For the director of the STBC, the strikers instrumentalize this social movement to help one of their colleague and friend to escape a disciplinary sanction.

“The yellow vests who came to support the strikers are obviously not drivers. They offered to negotiate, ensuring that they would unblock the deposit if I lifted the sanction of an employee, and that otherwise they would block every day. I told them they could settle down. It is a hostage-taking of employees and customers, it is unacceptable! », Indignant Dalila Guettouche, who says he is skeptical about the link between the aggression of the driver and a supposed degradation of the service to the users.

"He was assaulted at 8:30 p.m. at Vaires-sur-Marne during off-peak hours and when there was no passenger on board the bus," the director is surprised, who explains that the journey times have been revised at the return of the All Saints holidays.

"They were readjusted at the end of a service commission for which we asked six drivers to get back up and in which the three union representatives refused to participate."

She also denies having dismissed two employees for their participation in the strike last October.

“One of them was for an altercation with another employee and the other for cash problems for six months for which he had been the subject of two reminder letters.

Last October, there were 37 strikers, I did not summon them all for a disciplinary interview!
