The Prime Minister, Engineer Hussein Arnous, discussed with the Iranian Minister of Industry, Mines and Trade, Seyed Reza Fatemi Amin and the accompanying delegation, ways to enhance economic and industrial cooperation, increase trade exchange and adopt the exchange of goods and materials needed by the two countries' markets to overcome the effects of the unjust sanctions imposed on their peoples.

Engineer Arnous stressed the importance of following up on the agreements signed between the two sides, implementing joint projects according to specific time schedules and continuing coordination to overcome difficulties in implementation, as well as searching for broader horizons for cooperation in various economic, investment and industrial fields that are mutually beneficial to the two friendly countries.

Engineer Arnous expressed appreciation for Iran's leadership, government and people's position in support of the Syrian people in confronting the terrorist war and the unjust siege, stressing the Syrian government's readiness to take all measures that push joint work and cooperation forward, especially in the economic field, to be at the level of strategic political relations between Syria and Iran.

For his part, the Iranian Minister of Industry, Mines and Trade expressed his country's continued support for the Syrian people and work to develop economic relations to restore the Syrian industry's position, pointing to the desire of many Iranian companies to invest in Syria and establish joint projects with economic activities in it.

During the meeting, it was stressed the need to encourage industrialists in the two countries to participate and establish joint investments that include many industries needed by the market in Syria and Iran.

The meeting was attended by the Ministers of Economy, Foreign Trade and Industry and the Chairman of the Planning and International Cooperation Authority.
