The Iraqi forces launched a large-scale security operation today to eliminate the remnants of the terrorist organization “ISIS” in the Makhoul mountain ranges in Salah al-Din Governorate in the center of the country.
A statement by the Popular Mobilization Authority, carried by the Iraqi News Agency, said, "A force from the Salah al-Din Operations Command for the crowd and the joint forces, with the support of the army's aviation, began a large-scale inspection operation in the areas of the Makhoul Mountains and Jayyadiyah Island, located between the village of Al-Salman and Al-Mashak Road, to hunt down the remnants of ISIS terrorists."
The Iraqi forces continue to pursue the remaining remnants of terrorists in a number of regions of the country.
