"I do not think there is a chance that this is the level we had against Delta," CEO Stephen Bensell said in an interview with the Financial Times today (Tuesday).
"There's going to be a drop in vaccine effectiveness, I don't know how much because we have to wait for information. But all the scientists I spoke to said, 'This is not going to be good.'"
He added that due to the large number of mutations in the virus' spike protein, the source of human infection, the current stock of vaccines may need to be updated.
