The branch of the General Organization for Seed Multiplication in Hama opened the door for subscription to potato seed from the elite stage produced in open fields, as part of the national project for its propagation.
The director of the branch, Engineer Abdul-Ghani Al-Aswad, told SANA reporter that the subscription is made to individuals or agricultural associations according to the agricultural regulation, provided that the person wishing to extract the seeds pays an amount of 500,000 pounds as an initial advance for one ton, stressing that the seeds distributed in the branch are characterized by high productivity and good returns per unit area in addition to the encouraging prices Compared with market prices, the price of a ton was set at about one million and 350 thousand pounds.
He added that the branch has several varieties of seeds produced in the open fields of Apamea, Sham, Shamra, Aya, Beroya, Furat and Aren.
