People's Assembly Speaker Hammouda Sabbagh affirmed the depth and strength of the deep-rooted and ever-renewing bilateral relations between Syria and Iran, which helped them face various challenges and schemes against them.
During his meeting today, Izzatullah Akbar Talarbashti, Chairman of the Industrial Committee, and Mohammad Reza Pour Ebrahimi, Chairman of the Economic Committee of the Iranian Islamic Consultative Assembly, and the accompanying delegation, Sabbagh indicated the importance of continuing work to develop and expand relations between the two countries to include all levels, pointing to the need to exchange experiences in the parliamentary and economic fields for the benefit of the The Syrian and Iranian peoples.
Sabbagh praised Iran's supportive stances for Syria, its army and people, especially in its war against terrorism and its steadfastness, praising the great sacrifices it made in order to defeat terrorism, stressing that victory will be an ally of the resistance axis in light of the cohesion, cooperation and steadfastness that it embodies.
In turn, Izzatullah Akbar pointed to the need to increase cooperation between the two sides, especially in the industrial and economic field, and activate the exchange of exports, stressing the Iranian side's full readiness to help and exchange experiences to develop Syrian industries, support imports from them, and establish production lines inside Syria, which increases its exports to many countries.
For his part, Muhammad Reda Pour Ibrahimi stressed the importance of activating the laws that facilitate the economic movement between the two countries, pointing out that the priority of work on the Iranian side is to support the import of Syrian products, which contributes to reviving the Syrian economy and strengthening its steadfastness in light of the unjust economic siege against it.
